The rain was coming out of the heavens when we left London at 1pm on Friday the 15th Sept 00. The was a river running down my road... was it the right thing to do... drive 140 miles across the Uk to a show that would be a wash out!!!!

There was also a petrol shortage in the UK.. no gas anywhere, a few calculations and I know I would get there and back on one tank.

We were mad.... but it was worth it.

We arrived at 6pm on Friday and set up camp, opened some beers and went for a walk. There were over 500 vans there already, the ground was dry... and it was warm. It was going to be good.

It was a lovely run, the rain eased just as we got out of London. Plain sailing from there
